PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS

Requirements

The Health Services Administration major requires a minimum GPA of 2.5. In addition, the major requires students to successfully complete four classes for acceptance into the major. These classes consist of: Health Administration (HSA 358), Values in Healthcare (HSA 365), Health Statistics (HTH 320), and U. S. Health Care Systems (HTH 354). These classes, which are taught by each of the four faculty members, gives students the opportunity to work with each of them. In order to be admitted into the major, students are required to complete 25 paid / unpaid volunteer hours, in addition to completing an HSA application and completing an interview with the Program Director. Upon completion of the major coursework, students are required to complete an eight-week internship (HSA 454) as part of the course work during their senior year.
