Physician Assistant Studies Program
The program's mission is to provide educational opportunities for students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to function as excellent primary care PAs, serving particularly the rural and medically underserved areas of the Commonwealth and the region. The course of study requires 24 consecutive months of classes for students who have met the prerequisite requirements and been admitted to the program. Admission is limited and competitive. Students are selected through a supplementary admission process. Admission to The Graduate School does not guarantee admission to the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program. A group of students is accepted annually and begins studies in August. Graduates receive a Master of Physician Assistant degree.
