HTH Public Health Education Internship

The Public Health Education concentration requires HTH 454 –Public Health Education Internship. HTH 454 is an internship which requires a minimum of eight (8) consecutive weeks of fulltime work in a public health agency for a minimum of 320 hours. It is considered to be the capstone course for the concentration. The internship is completed during the 4 th block of the senior year or the May session immediately following the regular school year. Students wishing to complete the internship during the 4 th block of their senior year must carefully plan their course of study to take HTH 450, 471 and 453 during the third block and HTH 454 during the 4 th block. No other course may be taken during the internship as it is fulltime work.

Students need an override for the Internship. A signed Confirmation Agreement by the student, Faculty advisor, and the site supervisor is necessary before starting the eight week internship. The internship syllabus, requirements and other related course forms can be found at the following links:
